Ministries of the Church in Ridge Meadows to Serve the Whole Body of Christ

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered recovery group designed to support those going through life issues. Ridge-Meadows Celebrate Recovery meets Monday nights 52 weeks a year at Maple Ridge Baptist Church including:
Dinner at 6:00 PM
General Meeting at 6:50 PM (includes worship and a Lesson from the program or a testimony)
Gender specific Share Groups at 7:50 PM
The evening ends with Coffee following the Share Groups.
We also offer childcare, a children’s program and a teen program during the adult meeting and share groups.
Celebrate Recovery started at Saddleback Church in California in 1991. One in three of our group are dealing with an addiction to drugs or alcohol. Some are dealing with a family member who is addicted to drugs or alcohol, or they are dealing with sexual addiction, pornography, anger/rage, job loss, divorce, grief from loss of loved one, mental illness, financial concerns, job loss etc.
The mandate of Celebrate Recovery is to serve the whole body of Christ as well as the communities of Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge.
It was birthed out of the RMMA in 2004 and remains under its umbrella. There has always been a pastor that is a member of the RMMA overseeing the Ministry, currently Pastor Todd from Burnett Fellowship is our CR Pastor. Northridge oversees our finances and issues charitable donation receipts and MRBC hosts the weekly meetings.
We have been averaging 60 – 70 people on a Monday night. You are welcome to drop in any Monday to see first hand what it is about, however we do respect each participants anonymity and confidentiality, so you wouldn’t be able to discuss who was at the group.
We also do Step Study Groups on a different night of the week. These groups are more of an intense study group following a workbook and answering questions in a group setting. This year we are doing 2 Ladies groups and 1 Men’s group on Thursday evenings at Burnett Fellowship starting September 19th. These groups will run for about 25 weeks.
This truly is a life changing ministry and we have some amazing testimonies from those who have received hope and healing from Jesus Christ working through Celebrate Recovery.
